A Distressed Skunk & Birdbrain Robot

Hello friends!
Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far.  I'm popping in here with a post today because I simply ran out of hours yesterday and I had a bit of free time today.

I wanted to be sure to play along in some challenges because simply stated, I thought they would be fun to play along with.  So here's what I've made:
For my first card, I have played with some distress inks for the background of card design.  I sponged some blue and pink colors together and then spritzed some water over it to make the watercolor splatters in the background.  I also took some gold watercolor and flicked my paint brush over it to add more speckles to my background.

I have used all Lawn Fawn products on my design here including the Stinkin' Cute stamp set and coordinating dies.  I have also used the Stitched rectangle, stitched circles, stitched hearts and heart stackables dies to complete my design.

I have die cut a couple of hearts from the Stinkin' Cute dies from white card stock and also used some pink distress ink and spritzed it with water before I cut them out.  The other hearts were die cut with vellum and gold card stock and randomly glued over the card.  I have added one of the distressed hearts to the skunk to make it look like he's holding it.

The skunk was colored in with my Copic markers and popped up over the stitched blue circle which was popped up over the black banner strip that I heat embossed the sentiment with white EP over it and used foam tape to pop that up over the background.  I added the rest of the sentiment by stamping it above and below the black strip and then added some sequins to finish it off.  The panel was cut out with the largest stitched rectangle and attached to an A2 sized white card base.

Here's a closer look at the details:
I just used some liquid glue to attach the vellum hearts and popped the edges a bit for a bit of dimension.  I wanted to be seen, but also be a little faded with the background.
I think this turned out really cute...stinkin' cute! :)
(The challenges are listed below in this post.)

This seemed to be a Tim Holtz kind of day, so
here's another card I made especially for a unique challenge:
LOL!  I call this creation of mine a "Birdbrain Robot".  This is NOT an actual stamp image, but a combination of two different stamp images that I have put together to make it look like this.

I would've never really thought to do something like this if it weren't for the challenge that I saw over at Splitcoaststampers yesterday!  - (For the Mix-ability challenge - The Chimera Challenge is to combine two different stamps to make a unique creature.)

So this had a bit of thinking involved as to my stamp collection and what I could use to create a unique creature.  I came up with these fun images from my collection of The Alley Way Stamps, which sadly is not in business any longer, but I still think their images are pretty fun and I still enjoy pulling them out from time to time.  So for those of you that KNOW the stamps from this company, I have used "Lighter Than Air" for the robot body and "Birds of a Feather" for the bird head on my creature.  I have also used "All About You" stamp set for the sentiment.

To make this creature, I have masked off the REAL stamp images where I needed to and then lined them up with my MISTI...which made it a breeze honestly, and what didn't get "connected together, I just used my Copic liner pen to connect it so it looks like it was supposed to be one stamped image.  LOL! - really fun and unique!  (It makes me think of the "Creature Feature" movies that were on T.V. very late Saturday nights...spooky! LOL!)  The sentiment I pulled out from the same company just happened to go really well with it.

To make the background, I have pulled out some of my alcohol inks.  First I covered a piece of white card stock with gesso, sprayed it with rubbing alcohol and then pounced the inks over it.  Once it was dry, I dry embossed with an embossing folder (a very old one!) and then I rubbed my VersaMark ink pad over the raised areas and then heat embossed it with silver EP.  I like the "faux metal" look of it.  I hardly ever play with these alcohol inks, so it was really fun just play and come up with something really different.

Here's a closer look at some of the details:
So for the "Birdbrain Robot", I have colored it with my Copic markers and covered the feathers with my Wink of Stella glitter pen.  The cuffs of the robot were colored with a clear gel pen for sparkle.  The buttons on the robot and the eyeballs of the bird were covered with a black gel pen for dimension and shine  (so were the "dots" on the bird head feathers).

The sentiment was stamped in black and then I stamped it in separate colors and cut out the words that I wanted to be shown in color and glued it over top of the black sentiment.  I went around the cut out words with my clear gel pen to make them stand out better.  Both the sentiment and embossed background panels were mounted onto a silver metallic card stock and then placed over an A2 sized black card base.  I punched out and arrow and cut a thin strip of black card stock to add to the design.

I hope you've enjoyed my mix of creations today!
Thanks so much for dropping in and having a look!!  Enjoy your day!

Coffee on the Beach - Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!!

Hello friends!!
You KNOW I couldn't let it go by without joining in the
I'm a bit late in joining in with my card, but I've actually had this done since before the blog hop actually started this last Friday...I'm just now sharing it because sometimes I get eyeballs on my blog of whom I don't want to see the card before they get it if I can help it! ;)

Since both hubby and I enjoy our coffee time together, I thought that I would combine his Father's Day card with some Summer Coffee Lovers theme in mind:
There's really nothing better than being able to enjoy a beautiful sunrise (or sunset!) & a cup of coffee on the beach with someone you love, right?!!  So I have taken several different Whimsy Stamps (One of the Super Sponsors for the coffee lovers blog hop!!) to create this fun coffee beach theme!

*This will also be my last post as a design team member for Whimsy Stamps as I have decided to step down from the team.  It has been a pleasure working with Denise and the DT this past year and I wish them all the best.*

First, to create my card, I've taken my distress inks to make the sky background behind the water.  This was the base of my card front design on which the rest of the scene comes together.  For the main coffee cup images along with the hearts and sentiment, I have used the Whimsy Stamps June release set called Need More.  I used my Copic markers to color in the cups in some ombre shade colors for each cup.  I have also used my Copics to "dot" in some shading for the sandy beach.  I've also used a white and clear gel pens to add to the "dots".  The sentiment was stamped with chocolate ink and embossed with clear EP.  For the faces on the cups, I have used the Whimsy Stamps June release Squeezed to make a couple.  (I added some eye lashes to the red ombre cup.)  I used my scissors to fussy cut them out and pop up with foam tape over my scene along with the coffee heart steam.

For the water waves in the background behind the cups, I have used some blue card stock and took the Whimsy Stamps Hand Stitched Border Dies to make the stitched lines over it.  (These dies do NOT cut anything out, they just create the stitch lines when you run them through your cutting machine.)  I used scissors to cut around the waves to attach to my card.  I also covered the entire piece with my Wink of Stella glitter pen.

For the sandy beach hills, I've taken the Whimsy Stamps Stitched Border Trio Dies from some Kraft colored card stock and added the "dots" for shading on the hills.  The cups were nestled in between the hills with the one in front being popped out with foam tape.

And finally to give my beachy hills a bit more of a beach feel, I have taken the starfish image from the Whimsy Stamps June release Ocean Journeys and stamped it three times, fussy cut them out, colored them in and added them in random places on the sand hills.  I have also taken the flying birds image from this set and stamped them in my distressed colored sky.  I ended up going over them with my black gel pen for  bit of shine.

Here's a closer look at the sparkle and shine on my card:
You can better see the shinny dots that I've added to the beach hills and starfish with my clear gel pen as well as the Wink of Stella glitter pen over the coffee inside the cups and the water waves.  You can also see the shine from my black gel pen with the birds.

I put a special message inside that describes what we would like to be doing in the future after his retirement! :)  I already know how he feels about this card too.  I enjoyed putting it together for him and I was constantly thinking of our future travels together.

Hope you've enjoyed my card today friends!!
Thank you kindly for stopping by!!

Special Surprise Birthday Beach Blog Hop for Asha!!

Hello friends!
I'm so excited to be taking part in this very special "surprise" birthday blog hop for
Asha Martins
Happy birthday!!!!!!!
(Hope you truly enjoy your special day my friend!  You deserve it!!)

Welcome to our SURPRISE Birthday Beach Blog Hop

If you would also like to participate and join in the fun along with us and/or make a birthday creation for Asha, we would love to have you join by using this fun "beachy" color combination/photo on your creation too!  Check it out below:

I have decided to use the fun colors shown above for my card as well:
I have used this really yummy looking cake image from the MHKDesigns Eat Your Cake Digital Stamp Set for my card for Asha today!

So I was inspired by the photo alongside the colors and decided to use some wood-grain papers from my stash for the background.  I tried to keep close to the "beachy" colors as well for my cake that I've colored in with my Copic markers.  Both the cake image and sentiment were printed out on my computer and I then cut it out with Stitched rectangle dies and layered it onto a chocolate piece of card stock.  I added some twine around this panel and popped it up with foam tape over the wood-grain background and blue strip.

Here's a closer view of the details:
For the accents, I've used a wood veneer star in the corner and then added some fine glitter detail to the flames in the candles and the stars on the cake.  I've used my Wink of Stella glitter pen for the accents around the candle flames and lastly, I've added some star confetti over the front of the image panel.  Most of them are concentrated on the cake frosting.

I sure hope that you enjoy my card Asha....it's on the way to you! :)

Thank you so much for joining in our hop to say "Happy Birthday" to our dear friend!  Your next stop on the hop is Asha's blog! {The Birthday Girl herself!} - so please go wish her a very happy birthday and see what gorgeous creation she has unknowingly made without realizing that we've put together this surprise blog hop for her!!  TEE HEE! :)

Here's a sneak peek to entice you:
Thanks so much for stopping in to have a look! :)

So now, I can finally "spill the beans" as of today because it's revealed!

Are you a Splitcoaststampers fan club member?
If you are, then you probably know about the special elite group of stampers that call themselves the "Dirty Dozen Design Team"....I am now officially one of them!!  Woot!
I would LOVE to have you stop by to say hello under my introduction into the team and have a look at this month's June theme and the creations that I've made for it!  (I cannot share the creations on my blog because they are exclusive to the Splitcoaststampers community and the fan club members there.) - I would also love to see you join in the "Monthly Themes" and share your creations with us based on the themes!  If you are a SCS fan club member, let me know what your user name is in the comments so I can stop by your gallery and leave you some love!!

(You do not have to be a member to check out my gallery any time you want to see it.)
If you are NOT a fan club member, then you really should check out the benefits of being one!  CLICK HERE for the details on how to become one and what the benefits are.

And to tell you how much this means to me to be apart of this special group, you may have heard me talk about Splitcoaststampers from time to time on my blog here.  I have belonged to this community for YEARS and it has always been my "go to" place for inspiration and to talk among other super creative and friendly stampers alike.  Before blogs even "came about"...THIS was the place to go for a social media type for crafters and Stampin' Up! demos.  It grew and grew to an overwhelming huge amount of crafters of all kinds and I still enjoy participating in the special events, challenges and adding my creations to my own gallery there.  Although social media has gotten as big in numerous ways as it has, Splitcoaststampers is a very well known place for us crafters and because of that place, it is the very reason I was brave enough to share anything I made OR start up a blog.  The encouragement there is like nothing I've ever been apart of (aside from my fellow blog friends) and I've always been thankful to be apart of their community.

If you check out the link "Dirty Dozen Design Team", you will see a loooong list of the talented people that have went long before I finally got here.  I have been there from the beginning to see all of them including people like Julie Ebersole, Michelle Laycock, Beate Johns, Taylor VanBruggen, Kittie Caracciolo, Michelle Zindorf, and many many MANY other very talented stampers including the splitcoaststampers community manager herself, Lydia Fiedler - just to name a few!  So needless to say, I am over the moon thrilled to apart of this special honor among the "hall of famers"!  :)

Two Fun Fold Cards with ONE 8- 1/2" x 11" Card Stock! + Closer Look at the Whimsy Stamps Paper Pads and Enamel Dots

Hello friends!
Happy Friday to you!  I am really looking forward to the weekend and I plan to stay in the cool air and hopefully get some projects done!

Today I have another quick video to share with you on how I made these:
You may recognize the images that I've used on these cards which have come from the Snappy Birthday clear stamp set that was the latest release for the Whimsy Stamps June 2016 card kit contents.
(If you'd like to check out my other projects made from this card kit along with a video and full details of the card kit contents - CLICK HERE to see my post.)

You will also notice on my cards the stunning party themed papers I've used as well.  They are also from the latest June release that Whimsy Stamps has come out with from their "It's a Party" paper pad + the "It's a Party" enamel dots which coordinate beautifully together.
If you'd like to take a closer look at these particular products and how I've made these two fun fold card designs using ONE piece of 8- 1/2" x 11" card stock, then check out my video below:

CLICK HERE to see on You Tube
or watch the video below:
(To see the video in HD or full screen, start the video and toggle the gadget in the right bottom corner to adjust it.)

I thought since I still had extra left over pieces from the projects I made with the card kit, that I could continue to keep using them and pair them with these fun new papers that Whimsy Stamps has come out with!  I think the "Snappy Birthday" stamp set also goes really well with the other "Summer Breeze" paper pad and the coordinating enamel dots too!
(You can click on the links to purchase or take a closer look at the products.)

Here's the card that I share in full detail how to make on the video above:
This card when closed, is a standard A2 sized card and will fit inside a standard sized A2 envelope for mailing.  I like the fact that it is something different than the same old top or side folding cards that we usually make.  It's always fun to change things up once in a while too! :)

When you open up this card, here's what it looks like:
I think this is just too cute and it was a "happy accident" that I had found some colors from the paper pad to go nicely with my piece of card stock from the kit.  I think there are probably several different colors in the kit that would match up great with these new paper pads.

Here is the other style of "FUN FOLD" design explained in the video as well:
This crab is so stinkin' cute!  I think it's also fun that the sentiment from the stamp set is an "open" lettered image so that you can choose to color it in however you want.

So with the OTHER half of the 8 - 1/2" x 11" piece of yellow card stock from the kit, I made this fun gate fold design.  This is also an A2 standard sized card.  (If you happen to like one fold more than the other, you could make two of the Z-Fold cards or two of the Gate-Fold cards with the one piece of card stock as well.)

To help hold the front flaps closed, I have taken another piece of yellow ribbon from the card kit to tie a bow around it.  Both the crab and the sentiment at the top "hang over" the other flap so that the recipient can see where to open the card.  I've decorated it using more papers from the paper pad as well.

When you untie the ribbon and open the card, here's what it looks like:
I used more papers from the "It's a Party" paper pad for the inside.  I stamped that cute little clam directly onto the decorative papers because I thought it made him look like he was underwater.  (LOL!  I just love those eyeballs peeking out!)  I stamped the balloon and confetti pieces from the "Snappy Birthday" stamp set on white card stock and colored them in and glued them to the inside of the card.

As you can see, there is room to either stamp or write a message on the inside too.

I hope you've enjoyed my inspiration today!
Thanks so much for dropping by and have a great weekend friends!

Whimsy Stamps June 2016 Card Kit!!
Starting TODAY, you can go shopping for your favorites from this month's release including getting your hands on this really fun Summer/birthday themed card kit.... available for purchase at the Whimsy Stamps store!!!!   Yay!  Time to go shopping!!!

Monday, June 6th post (Day 1 inspiration) - Need MoreSqueezed + Squeezed coordinating diesPaper Packs + Enamel Dots

Tuesday, June 7th post (Day 2 inspiration) - Ocean Journeys + Ocean Journeys Sentiments + Sentiment Banner Dies

Wednesday, June 8th post (Day 3 inspiration) - Designer's Choice using any June release products

Today, we get to take a look at the June 2016 card kit:
These are several of the projects that I've made using the contents from this month's kit.  I had so much fun creating with it and have more fun ideas that I'd like to create with it!

Within the kit, you receive a kraft gable box to decorate and here's a closer look at that:
I have decorated the gable box with papers, ribbon and embellishments from the kit.

Here's a closer look at the fun tag that I created using a "Salted Background" technique:
I have used this cute little star fish image from the clear stamp set included in this kit as well as the balloon die and papers from the kit.

If you would like to see the full contents included in the kit and watch how I did the "Salted Background" technique as well as decorating this cute birthday gable box, check out my video below:

CLICK HERE to see the video on You Tube or watch in HD
or just watch the video below.  (Once you begin to play the video you can toggle the gadget on the bottom right corner to enlarge it on your screen.)

*Keep in mind that these kits will will NOT be re-stocked once they sell out!  So be sure to pick yours up before they're gone!*
(There is never a monthly obligation for any kit...just purchase any of the kits you're interested in.)

I have also made a ton of other projects with the contents from this kit and I still have plenty of items left over that I could make many more things which I hope to share at a later time!

Because of the ocean critters in the "Snappy Birthday" stamp set, I thought it would be fun to share the "Salted Background" technique as well as use Salt Water Taffy for the treats.  I have used them inside the gable box which you saw in the video, but I've also used some for this cute little party favor treat idea I had:
I had purchased one of those sand pail and shovel kits and decided to use the shovel to make a fun party favor with it.  I just added some Salt Water Taffy to the inside of the shovel with the clear bag and then I tied it closed with some ribbon from the kit.  I used the honey comb die cut from the kit and cut out some blue papers that were in the kit and embossed a sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps Hand Lettered Encouragement set in white EP over it to tie onto the ribbon.  Super simple and fun for Summer!

For my next project, I thought it would be fun to make one of those Pop-Up Box cards:
All of the papers I have used come from the card kit.  I even used some of the acetate in the kit to make the balloons pop up and "wiggle" around when it's open.

I love the fact that when you close it up, it lays flat for mailing inside an A2 standard envelope!
If you'd like details on how to make one for yourself, CLICK HERE for a link to the instructions.

And for my last project shown above, I have made a cute shaker card:
I thought this clam image would be so cute inside this circle shaker design!
I have used some white paper from the kit to watercolor the blue in the background on my card base and then used more blue watercolor on another separate piece of the white card stock that was cut out with the Whimsy Stamps Stitched Cricle dies.  I also used this same die to cut out the circle with the tan paper from the kit as well as the acetate to form my shaker portion.

The clam was colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and glued to the watercolor circle piece.  I used the star confetti from the kit to fill the shaker and then I glued some of the blue sequins from the kit around the tan circle.

The sentiment at the bottom comes from the Whimsy Stamps Everyday Mini Sentiments which the top one I embossed over the blue watercolor with white embossing powder and the second one I just stamped with some tan colored ink.

Be sure to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps blog  to see a peek at the creations with links to the other guest designer's and design team's blogs. There will be chances to win prizes, so make sure you join in today and every day for all the new release festivities!

Tuesday, June 7th post (Day 2 inspiration) - Ocean Journeys + Ocean Journeys Sentiments + Sentiment Banner Dies

Today is designer's choice to share any products from this month's release.
So here's the card that I've made today:
I wanted to use those gorgeous papers and enamel dots for my card.
So I've taken this super cute Need More stamp set and stamped the coffee mug onto a piece of paper from the "It's a Party" paper pack, colored the coffee and around the edges of the mug with my Copic markers and fussy cut it out.  The spoon was stamped and colored with a clear gel pen and fussy cut out.

I used a white A2 sized card base and arranged some brown and more of the "It's a Party" papers over the card base to create a fun layout.  I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set with white embossing powder over a brown banner and placed this along with the mug and spoon over my design.  I stamped a couple of the hearts above the coffee mug and then used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to color in the coffee as well as the hearts.  I also used some of the matching enamel dots that went with the papers to finish off my design.

Hope you've enjoyed my inspiration using the new release products!

Whimsy Stamps June New Release - Day 2 Inspiration!

Hello friends!
Welcome to DAY 2 of the Whimsy Stamps (Clearly Whimsy Stamps edition) June NEW RELEASE!
Starting Monday, June 6th, today and tomorrow, I will be sharing inspiration with you for each new clear stamp set and Shapeology craft dies that are being released this month which will be available for purchase at the Whimsy Stamps store starting this WEDNESDAY, June 8th!

In case you have missed any of my prior inspiration posts:
Monday, June 6th post (Day 1 inspiration) - Need More, Squeezed + Squeezed coordinating dies, Paper Packs + Enamel Dots

Today we are introducing the Ocean Journeys + Ocean Journeys Sentiments and Sentiment Banner Dies

Here's the card that I made using these fun new products:
I thought that this stamp set would be fun to create a nice watercolor scene with, so I took out some watercolor paper and die cut a piece out with the Whimsy Stamps Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle Dies.  I used the curly line image in this set and embossed it over the watercolor paper with clear embossing powder.  When I added the watercolor to it, the embossed areas resist the watercolor and show up on the design through it.  I have used my watercolor to create my own scene.

For the sailboat, I took the image from the Ocean Journeys set and stamped it, colored it with my Copic markers and popped it up over my scene with some foam tape.  I also used some black water proof ink to stamp the flying birds from the set as well.

For the sentiment, I took the new Sentiment Banner Dies and cut out a piece from vellum and folded it along the scored marks.  I took the sentiment from the Ocean Journeys Sentiments and embossed it gold embossing powder along with the hearts from the image set.  I just used some Ranger liquid glue to attach the ends of the vellum banner over the boat and popped it up.

I've attached the watercolor paper over a piece of gold metallic card stock and then attached that to an A2 sized white card base.

Here's a closer look at some of the details in the card.
You can see here that on the boat I have used my gold metallic gel pen to color in a portion of the boat.  You can also better see the gold embossing and gold metallic paper.

Be sure to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps blog  to see a peek at the creations with links to the other guest designer's and design team's blogs. There will be chances to win prizes, so make sure you join in today and every day for all the new release festivities!

I hope you've enjoyed my inspiration today!

Whimsy Stamps June New Release! - Day 1 Inspiration

Hello friends!
Whimsy Stamps (Clearly Whimsy Stamps edition) NEW RELEASE is here!
Today and every day for the next THREE days, I will be sharing inspiration with you for each new clear stamp set and Shapeology craft dies that are being released this month which will be available for purchase at the Whimsy Stamps store starting this WEDNESDAY, June 8th!
So please join me here every day including the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Blog for a peek at each set with some inspiration & of course special prize opportunities!

Today we are introducing "Need More", "Squeezed" with "Squeezed" coordinating dies + a special bonus surprise with the fun new "Whimsy Stamps Paper Packs & Enamel Dots" (designed by the talented Tracy Wray from our rubber design team)!

Wow!  So many exciting products coming out this month...and there will be more tomorrow!!

For for my first set of projects today, I have used the "Need More" stamp set along with a sneak peek of another die cut set that will be shared more in-depth tomorrow:
I adore this super cute stamp set!  I am a true die hard coffee fan to the core!  In the winter time, though, I don't mind to have a few cups of tea in the evening to help warm me up! :)

I have stamped the tea bag and masked it so that when I stamped my tea cup, the tea bag would show as if it is steeping in the cup.  I colored it with my Copic markers and fussy cut it out and popped it up over my gold embossed sentiment banner that I have also popped up over the background.

To make the background, I have just clear heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set and then used my watercolors to go over top of it which creates a sort of resist so that the words show up.  I've added this panel onto some blue card stock with matching papers (which actually come from the up-coming card kit that I'll be sharing with you on Wednesday)!  I attached all of this onto an A2 sized white card base and then added a few gold sequins.

So for my next project set, I've used the "Squeezed" stamp set with the Coordinating Dies:
I think I had so much fun creating with this set!  It has a really nice Summer feel and who doesn't love a good glass of lemonade in the Summer?!! :)

So starting off with the glassine treat bag, I have filled it up with some sour lemon heads...I use to love these as a kid!  I thought it would be a fun gift idea for this stamp set!  I have stamped all of the images, colored them with my Copic markers and cut them out with their corresponding die.  I have added a little extra glitter to portions of the images.  On the bag, I have colored the background a bit with some soft blue color and then stamped a heart from the set  within the blue color.

Both the card and the bag were decorated in the same way with the die cutting out the circles with the Whimsy Stamps Stitched Circle die set and then I used a scallop circle punch to punch out a yellow scalloped circle around it.  I also die cut a banner from some fun plaid papers (also in the up coming card kit) and placed them behind the scallop circle panels.

The sentiments on both projects were heat embossed in black.

And check out the fun faces in the stamp set!!  I just ADORE that cute little sour face in there! LOL!

What's Shakin' Cupcake?

Hello friends!
Hope you are having a great week and have enjoyed your long weekend! :)
I am tired from working outside and ready to sit in the air conditioning for a while! LOL!

Today I wanted to share a really fun shaker card that was inspired by a design from the actual person that came up with the product ideas used on this card as well:
Super cute and fun, right?  I've used some fun and creative products from Whimsy Stamps that was designed by Nina-Maria Trapani. She is an artist and illustrator for Whimsy Stamps and if you've been following along with my blog, then you have seen the new releases every month that have been designed by her.

I am using some of the products from the May release on my design here today.  I've used the Shaker Builder-Sweetest Birthday die set along with the Sweetest Birthday sentiments set from the May release. I've also used the Get in Line stamp set (to create the gingham pink background).

I was very inspired by Nina-Maria's card and the video of her wonderful explanation on how to use this die set!  To see her card and a full explanation on using this die set, please CLICK HERE to see how I was inspired by her design!  Thanks to Nina for her inspiration! :)

The things that I've changed on my card design were some of the colors and I've also used some craft (fun) foam to cut the cupcake shape for my shaker portion as well as the scallop frame so that it pops up with the card design.  And I've made a background using the lines from the "Get in Line" stamp set and my MISTI to help me line up the stamps correctly.  I was thinking this card would be cute with some pink gingham or chocolate colored gingham ribbon, but I didn't have any!  :(

Here's another look at the shaker card.  I've taken some star sequins to fill the cupcake shaker and I've also taken the same sequins to scatter in different parts of my card front along with adding some larger sequins.  Of course I'm a fan of chocolate, so I had to make a chocolate cupcake! :)

Thanks so much for dropping in today!
Hope you've enjoyed my card and I'll see you soon!

P.S. Mark your calendar to come back next week to see the June Release from Whimsy Stamps!
It's gonna be good!!
