Snow Much Thanks

Hello there friends!
Hope you are all doing well and finding some crafty time for yourself.
I have decided to change my blog design as I wanted to go back to the simple design I had before. I had spent quite a bit of time making my own banner and wanted to use it again and I'm glad I changed it.  I keep thinking I need to "change up" my blog, but I always seem to go back to this...maybe it's a sign telling me to leave things alone! LOL!

I would also like to note a couple of observations that I've found recently about this particular month.
The month of January includes "National Hobby Month" and the second week in January is also National "Letter Writing Week", so I thought it would be a great idea to make a thank you card with a personal note inside.  I have been playing again with another card kit:
I've pulled out the Simon Says Stamp January 2017 card kit to make a fun shaker card design!
I used this pretty pink card stock from the kit to make a card base as well as cut out a frame with the MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames to cut out a frame with the same card stock.  I've also used the blue tinted vellum (also from the kit) for the front panel of my shaker design.  Although a bit hard to tell in the photo, I've also used some of the decorative papers from the kit and used that as my background for the shaker.  You can see all of the shaker contents inside as well as on the outside of the card.

I stamped the snowflakes with the "Frozen Fractals" stamp set from the kit with the Delicata White Shimmer ink cube and then went over that with some white EP. before attaching it to the inside scallop frame that I cut out.

For the banner, I've stamped the sentiment from the stamp set over a piece of white card stock and cut out my own banner shape to attach to the inside of the scallop frame.  I then added the sequins on the outside and dotted the centers with some silver Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Here's a closer look at the design:
Here you can get a better look at the sparkle from the sequins as well as the shimmer that comes from the snowflakes.

Although a bit simple in design, I love the sparkly and shimmery snowflakes!
I thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you've enjoyed my shaker card and got inspired in some way! :)  See you soon!

Pink and blue, I don't think I've ever combined these two colors, but they look so pretty together. Very yummy and sweet in fact. The shaker parts can be seen but they're not overpowering the pretty and clean front, I do love this.

So pretty! I'm not a big fan a snow or snowflakes (They have to be shoveled...smile) But I really like the look of your snowflakes on your card!
